LoTSA is the London Trading Standards Authorities group. We: - Coordinate partnership working between London’s local authority Trading Standards departments
- Lead London-wide Trading Standards campaigns
- Help Trading Standards provide London residents and businesses with consistent, coordinated and constantly improving Trading Standards services.
- Save London boroughs money by providing Trading Standards training events at modest cost.
- Increase expertise in Trading Standards law and practice by running specialist groups, providing a London Trading Standards professionals’ intranet, and holding quarterly meetings that bring together London’s Chief Trading Standards Officers.
LoTSA has no premises or employees and relies entirely on the goodwill of Trading Standards departments in the London boroughs for meeting rooms and other facilities . We are funded by the London boroughs and the Department of Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR).
Our annual business plan is driven forward by the LoTSA Executive Committee and carried out by contractors who form the LoTSA Co-ordination Team. This team is supported by various local authority lead Trading Standards officers. |
